“Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast.”
A saying from a simpler time, perhaps… when artists were looked upon as naught but lovers of peace, bastions of beauty. Society’s counterpart to that troublesome yet sought-after individual… the warrior.
But would not one possessed of a dark heart have greater need to make art? Would not a warrior find respite in enlightened pursuits? Exploring new frontiers, new thinking? Ways to quell the anger, the primal bloodthirst raging in her soul?
And what if that soul were thrust into the 21st century, with its penchant for contradictions?
Would its Ways be embraced in these times… or ostracized?
