Oh, yes. Remember the severed wrist artery a while back… Geesh, so he DIDN’T bite it shut. Creepy.
Interesting, Jason has healing powers even in another body. So the powers come from his spirit, not his dna or whatever?
BTW, Blake, Ive been impressed by your framing in this series. You’ve done a very good job of maintaining continuity and context — reminding us in this last frame that there’s another person present who is just about due for a “OK, not that I’m ungrateful, but you’ve just ratcheted the weirdness factor up ANOTHER notch, and I didn’t think that was possible. Could someone please give me an explanation or two?”
Hayley: Given the genre of storytelling we’re in, I’d expect most such powers to be more linked to spirit than body.
Oh..I see.. Jason is.. a healer? Despite his psychopath tendencies?
*puts foot in mouth* Duh..he can apparently only heal himself… Handy for a psycho-murderous beeyatch.
Jay-Em: Has he ever _tried_ to heal anyone else (that we know of)? There may be more to him that any of us have been aware of, himself included. And that may offer him a path out of this mess which doesn’t involve the Lady leaving his soul shredded worse than he left Rona’s.
Sometimes even someone who is that self-centered can grow out of it. I’m not convinced Jason has faced up to his actions yet, but I see the possibility that he might do so.
Quoting out of context: “I’m not a monster, Tom… well, technically, I am. I guess I am.”
i think there might belong to rona’s body..
since he has no idea how he is healing the body with out even knowing how he got the powers to heal the body
ack i just remembered that page i take it back thinking they belonged to rona, if they are linked to his spirit then maybe he was meant to be a healer but hada bad life as it called lol
I don’t buy the whole enlightenment comes with love and compassion thing. Or well, sure, it could, but I don’t think Jason has to grow out of his bad behaviour to grow out of his problems.
My guess is that his powers are a leftover from a past life, from before he was imprisoned in our world. That would make him some kind of powerful entity that the powers that be sought to control, not unlike our Lady.
I was under the impression from the way Jason talked earlier that he had developed his powers through discipline and training, the way a monk does. But if he doesn’t understand them, that kind of blows that notion out of the water. What exactly *is* “The Way”?
@technogeek: I’m not sure it was that much out of context considering the context of the quote
