   I still can’t get over the fact that Jen has longer hair now…how much time has passed between chapters?

   Time is always a difficult thing to quantify in fiction. I would say, no more time has passed than you’d expect for Jen’s hair to grow the amount it has.

   Also, notice it has been getting gradually longer throughout the series, not just from the last chapter…

   I wonder if they are speaking in some language that only creatures of subrealm understand, delivering a ‘you are not welcome here, we declare war’ kind of message?

   Certainly the symbology it is rendered in suggested a different mode of information conveyance. One more abstract than our own alphabet and yet more concrete in a geometric way.
