Well, that explains a few things. As the spell’s starting to take effect, Perse and Rona sneak into Belahm’s house, disguised as buyers — looks like Perse was disguised as a different kind of troll (maybe), and Rona was disguised as a skylovian. Thus it’s those two we heard talking in the last few panels. The spell takes full effect and transforms Whisper, and she busts out and the guards all chase after her, leaving Rona and Perse with little interference in rescuing Benjamin. (Who they thought was going to be Patrice… I don’t think the Lady knew Eleanor had switched them out.) Presumably Whisper can take care of Belahm’s henchmen herself, or at least lose them, before the spell wears off. And then it’s cocoa and schnapps all around. Not a bad plan.
I think that hobbit-thing was wandering around Belahm’s place earlier. He was probably a bidder.

I think that hole did wonders for Belahm’s house.
