Tsk Tsk Tsk… Well, we knew that was coming!

Wonder what Rona is doing with all that ruckus around her…

I think Rona’s too busy with that guy to notice much. Not only that I suspect the orbs effect peoples’ awareness of what’s around them.

I’ve got some questions that I hope will be answered in the future. Here they are, along with my observations:

The Lady said that she was cursed to be stuck in Jen while Jen is awake. This would indicate that there are either higher powers (despite her statement that there is not), or she is just that egotistical.

The Lady claims that the senserealm (living) is a trap. Pointing it out when Rona’s dad was reincarnated into what The Lady called “another trap”. Later she claims that Jen is just a figment of her imagination, that she created Jen.

She is also very interested in finding out who trapped her in Jen, yet claims no interest in revenge.

So is The Lady more than cryptic, but actually a liar? If she so hates the ‘traps’ of senserealm, why would she have “created” Jen? And if you broaden the implications to include all life, (making her like, Gaia or something similiar), then why does she so detest that which she created?

As for Eleanor – assuming that the Lady is responsible for the creation of “traps”, why would Eleanor care when the Lady breaks people free of these traps “early”?

Last observation/question, if Zorro can see auras, and Rona is partially posessed by one of her former attackers (can’t recall his name at the moment, Mike, maybe? Or one of his two buddies?), wouldn’t that have caused a drastic shift in her aura that Zorro would have seen?

Besides the more-questions-than-answers aspect of things (from the point of having too many build up), I love the story and appreciate all the work that goes into any sort of undertaking like this, especially when working with 3D models.

    Thank you!

The only thing I can think is that the eye creatures paralyzed Rona and Zai, or rendered them insensate.

@Trinten: In the absence of an official answer, here are my theories.

As far as the Lady… when she said there are no higher powers, I took that to mean she answers to nobody, that her purpose is of the highest order and she can do as she sees fit. But we’ve seen that she’s neither invincible or omnipotent; that she says there are no higher powers doesn’t mean there are no powers that can affect her. Some agency imprisoned her in a physical body against her will, obviously. I don’t know if she created Jen before or after she was imprisoned; having a physical body has its advantages (look how she escaped from Belahm…), and she may have decided to come to Senserealm for her own as-yet-unexplained purposes. (If so, she’s probably forgotten what they were.) My own thinking, though, is that Jen is a split personality. Much like a mind under extreme duress will fracture, and create a second personality to bear the pain that it cannot, the Lady may have created Jen’s personality to absorb the “insidious influence” of senserealm and keep her own mind unaffected. That’s what I think; but Jen may be a complete being in her own right, and the Lady may have just caused her to come to be. (Which would suggest she was planning to have a body in senserealm before she was imprisoned.) But the Lady certainly isn’t responsible for the existence of Senserealm and its traps; she’s merely trying to deal with them as best as she can, and perhaps use them for her own purposes. Gaia, if there is such an entity, would be what the Lady calls “the cruel mother”.

Regarding revenge… the lust for revenge is a trap that can consume you, and the Lady makes a point of being free from all such things. She’s not going to let herself be obsessed with it. But she does experience anger, and I expect she’s concerned about someone meddling with her work in such a manner. Whoever did that obviously considers her an enemy, and needs to be dealt with.

As far as Rona goes… the business with her and Jason seems like a major loose end, doesn’t it. There are suggestions that stuff happened regarding this before the business with Fang started, and Rona has no memory of it. She may not even be possessed anymore. After all, Zorro might have seen Jason’s presence, but the Lady certainly would have, and most likely would have tried to do something about it (like her attempted psychic surgery on Fang) — unless Eleanor did something to conceal him even from such a powerful being, which would certainly hide it from a mere mortal like Zorro as well. In any case, I’ll be interested to see exactly what went on with that.

That’s how I see things anyway. Hope it’s of some help.

Trinten, your questions will definitely be answered in the future. Though I can’t guarantee you won’t have new ones by then. ;)

In the meantime, I would pay close attention to Albert’s theories. Not to put him on the spot, but he’s been uncannily dead on before. And especially so today, regarding certain things.

My own theory about Albert is that he’s an astral voyager who surreptitiously enters my mind when I’m asleep and either extracts information, or plants it.

    Or maybe both. Hmmm…

Why, I’m tickled pink, Mr. Chen. It does seem we think alike about a few things, doesn’t it. Perhaps we’ve read some of the same books or something.

I think I know the fatal flaw of the ocular entities – the same flaw all the bond villians seem to suffer from – that of giving away the plot, instead of actually getting on with the killing. I mean if they just got on and hit her rather than spieling a verbose recitation, they might have a chance.
