I suspect that she would have not been able to help as: 1) I don't think she has ever crossed over before and I don't think the vampire (forgotten his name) is much of a spirit guide (remember he had to use a drug to get Rona to cross), and 2) The drug he can give her does not allow the user to choose their destination (Rona ended up 20 years in the past) so, if she's to help them, ... ... she has to either die or be close to death (maybe leaves them when she has blood transfusion and becomes conscious again). Anyway, possible she got bitten so she can bite the french guy(If Blake Chen is doing the opposite-sex-biting thing). And of course it would justify the biting. Not only does she want it, but they're doing it to save someone. Plus, it's not as if his intent is malicious(I assume). Guess she was just goth, not vamp.
