    That’s…interesting. Only her lower canines are elongated.
    Anyway, mayhaps Rona will actually become not useless soon?

    Marut: It looks like a couple of her upper teeth are elongated as well. Look right next to the corners of her lips. Of course, I could also be seeing things ^^;

    Anyways…a creature that can take on the Lady…this comic gets more intriguing by the panel.

    The Lady wants to survive? I thought that this was odd because of her seeming disdain for human life, but after some thought, I readlized that I was being myopic! Survival to me is my existence in Senserealm (earth as I know it). The Lady *knows* that senserealm is only 1 step in my ‘life’.

    I wonder how attached the Lady is to her current realm. Is there an after-life for her? If so, does she know of it? I’m reminded of ‘The wee Free Men’ who believe that their existence on earth is their Heaven…blue skies, beautiful earth, etc. is their reward for being good in a previous life. The Lady has said “death is a transformation like any other… the only thing that distinguishes it is its… permanence.” Something like that, anyway… that when talking about how death didn’t cure some people of suicidal tendencies. She’s also been able to kill people that I expect were already dead — the incident with Jason comes to mind. It was implied in that sequence that her touch kicked them into a “lower form” when that happened. The only thing I can guess is that death, for such a being, means the loss of a level of consciousness — not something anyone would appreciate, especially not the Lady, who seems to have spent aeons building her wisdom and awareness.

    Perhaps the best way to put it is that death strips away layers of the self.

    Or perhaps that it strips away the bindings we place on ourselves, to prevent becoming confused by the depths of reality.

    hmm, like the layers of an onion? but what do you have in the centre of an onion? either nothing, or the shoot of a new onion plant!
