Huh, first comment today, I guess. It’s hard to tell someone that their loved one died. Probably even worse to tell someone that they’re dead. Wonder how this one will react. Heh.

I love the story, since I found it a month ago, and while the art style (made using a modified version of the Gary’s mod maybe?) isn’t my favorite, it’s updated daily (or close to it) and with an amazing story attatched, I’ve gotta say I’ve loved seeing it updated. Seriously, while Penny Arcade is funnier, Bleedman has better art, and Metanoia is more heart wrenching, this reads like a good novel, while curling up reading it during a good winter blizzard between shovelings. It’s something you want to read more of, and is always worth returning to. Thanks for sharing the ideas, storylines, and characters with us, they rule. Keep updating, later.

I found this comic awhile back and I must say I really enjoy it. The story is great. You have twists and turns. I do have to say kudos Blake. I would have to agree with Graypheonix, it is like a novel and if it was I would read it as much as I could.

It’s ok to say what a great comic this one is without comparing it to others, especially here. It’s a well written, entertaining, fun story, with lots of ideas to challenge our conceptions and stretch our minds. Thanks.

Mutually benificial; you provide us with a comic, we provide you with a reason to make it.

Though I must say you have a much harder job than we do, heh…Anyway, as long as this is the “comic comparison” page, I might as well say that this comic’s reality and outlook on the supernatural is the most interesting and, in my opinion, most likely to be accurate of all the comics I read. Plus, y’know, you’re the only one who updates 7 days a week, heh.

“Though I must say you have a much harder job than we do, heh…”

Yeah. YEAH! What’s up with that?

    LOL@ BC’s “Yeah. YEAH!”

Well, since someone already opened the door to comparing to other comics- I enjoy reading another comic that is done with Poser (I think that’s the one he uses)- but he doesn’t do nearly as much post-production work on it (many panels have NO post-production).

I love how you’ve been able to use Poser as a base, but then used your own artistic abilities to make this look more like a graphic novel than stills from The Sims (no disrespect to the other comic I read- I love that one, as do many other people, considering it’s place on TWC). I just like your approach better.

Another door was opened… the one about how BC has a much harder job than we do- when will we see a PayPal Donation Button show up? Almost every comic I’ve seen so far has had one, so I was curious as to how you are able to put this comic out seven days a week and still work (or somehow make a living)?

I don’t know exactly how large your fan base is… do you? I do see the same people posting day after day- so I know you have some really loyal fans… but how many actual readers who read regularly do you have (if you have a way of tracking such a thing)? If it’s big enough, then if everyone were to donate say $3 to $5 a week, you could make a pretty decent living doing this.
To the readers- before webcomics came along, how much were you dropping per week at the local comic shop? I was dropping about $100 a week when I lived in California (and had a much larger interest in comics because it was right about the time that Image and Chaos! Comics were created… oh, and I was making a LOT more money then, too LOL >.^..^<

    Y’know… that’s not a bad idea.

My main focus will always be on putting out the best comic I can, as often as I can… and I guess a donation button can’t do that cause any harm, can it?

I don’t know about $3-5 a week (though it’s a very sweet suggestion, which I certainly appreciate). Right now, I’m pretty much settled on an update schedule of about 5 full pages a week. As regular readers may have noticed, some of these pages are split in half so I can keep the daily updates going. This translates to about 20 pages every four weeks… the equivalent of a monthly print comic.

So my suggested donation would be $2 a month, bearing in mind that paper comics cost $3-4 each nowadays and I’ve got the advantage of not having to kill any trees (and killing trees is getting more and more expensive, from what I hear).
