I always like thought bubbles, but then again, as a writer (and someone who got into comics in the mid 80’s) I always liked hearing the internal monologue of characters, mine or otherwise
Yes, this does present an interesting look into the Lady’s character.
Comics aren’t the only medium that let you see into a character’s thoughts. Books use that italic text, and movies do the echoing voice trick. Especially for scenes like this. It really is an invaluable technique, especially when you’re wanting to develop a lonesome, private character like the Lady.

And, I especially like the aspect into her ‘humanity’ we are seein here.
