If anyone's read Daniel Quinn's book "A New Comer's Guide To the Afterlife", there is a theory in it that the realm of the dead (subrealm?) shapes itself around the desires of the souls in it. When you are alone it responds to what you want and shapes itself accordingly. Basicly following the not so old saying "We all create our own reality". This theory was also put forth in the movie "What Dreams May Come". When you are by yourself, you alone shape your reality. When you are with others, it's like duel controls.

Now in a dream, the classic symbolism of having sex with someone doesn't necessarily mean you're in love with them. It can mean there is something about them you respect and admire and you wish to be like them. Dreams are how the subconscious mind sorts out the days events and imprints them on our long term memory. But, this being a comic, all interpretations of dream sequences are entirely upto what Blake thinks is going on.

I've never had a dream where my point of view shifts to that of another person. But I have had dreams where it shifts to the P.O.V. of an animal. I've stalked jungles as a panther, I've flown over grassy hills during the day as an Eagle, and over mist shrowded forests at night as an Owl. And once, I remember running through a dry savannah, barefoot and carrying a crude spear with a flint point, but I knew I wasn't another person, I was myself. I remember feeling happy and alive in all of them. Hard to describe those dreams, but I felt happy because I knew where I belonged in the world. I was a part OF the world, not a part from it as I feel when I'm awake.

Rona cares a little too much for Jen? Jen did mention Zorro to her a lot so she'd naturally be Zorro instead of some other guy. Maybe she just likes rescuing or taking care of people. Or maybe she's dreading being awoken and wants to go back to the time when her current awake self didn't exist.

As confirmed in today's update, Rona was indeed the dreamer.

In the dream, she appeared to be Jen at first, then later realized she was actually dreaming the dream from Zorro's point of view.

I have had dreams like this, where my point of view shifts and I become different "characters".

As for what the dream meant, again I'd love to hear your interpretations...

All I'll say is... the sequence was intended as an insight into a deep, hidden, unconscious fantasy of Rona's. ;)

I think I found an easy way to distinguish what's "real" and what's not - the physical world has the grainier look to it, and the subrealm has more smoother look to it.

And I think that the dream was like something from those little green gremlin thingies... Like, they do something... to make you see something...

Hmm... I think we just saw what the world would be like if Rona suddenly didn't exist.
