The Secret of Cass Corridor, Pg 89-91

END OF CHAPTER EIGHT: “A Little Devil Such As You”

Heaven is a dark place
It’s a secret that we keep
From the human race
Why do you think so many souls
Have yet to find the light?
There is no light to find
There’s only the night

Heaven is a dark place
You could even say
It’s a hell of a disgrace
Why do you think all our priests
Behave the way they do?
Has it ever crossed your mind
That they’re tortured too

Heaven is a dark place
A little devil such as you
Could never show her face
All the angels who live there
They love to dress in black
And once you enter
There’s no going back

Heaven is a dark place
How, you may ask
Do I know this?
I’ve been there, you see
I’ve felt eternal bliss
I’ve been to heaven
I’ve felt your deadly kiss

From the song “Heaven is a Dark Place” on The Hungry Ghost CD

    *giggle*

  2. Zai Says:

Okay, I have to ask. Is there a reason that Jen, who in an earlier page said she was christian, is wearing a shirt that says ‘Born Again Pagan’ on it?

  3. blakechen Says:

Great question, Zai. The answer is yes. We’ll certainly get to know Jen and her conflicted, contradictory nature better as the series progresses.

  4. Zai Says:

Awesome, I look forward to it. This comic has rapidly become one of my favorites.

  5. Jazz Says:

Okay. So I stumbled or rather clicked on this comic through an ad banner. I thought the art was different and not what I’m used to. BUT the story pulled me in and now I’m addicted to it AND I’ve grown fond of the art. Although I’ve only read this far BUT I’ll read more tomorrow and catch up to the current pages. Love this comic by the way! Good work!

Saw a banner for this on Sinfest tonight, and decided to start reading. And so far, you’ve managed to hook me. I love the artwork. It’s so different compared to some other stuff I read. Not to mention the darker storyline. Wonderful job, and I look forward to catching up, and continuing to read it.
