N-2 Submission is a real-life indie band from Detroit headed by Anison Roberts, aka The Impaler. I remember the first time I ever caught their stage show… it was like nothing else I’ve ever witnessed. Words will never do it justice, but here’s a fairly good description from the Metro Times:

“Sharing the stage with Psycho Charger was the Impaler, who was nothing short of a creepy roadside attraction, somewhere between a whorehouse priest and a Vegas-era Barry White through the gaze of David Lynch. Weird atonal rhymes, Dracula cape, beat box, open-shirted Jimmy Page twin on guitar, and a femdom/slave duo straight out of a San Fernando Valley basement porno shoot. The Impaler totally skewers the macho confines of black hip-hop cliche.”
