The Secret of Cass Corridor, Pg 4-7
The character of MC Vlad is loosely based on Anison Roberts, aka The Impaler, whose band I regularly opened for at a club in Detroit called the Old Miami (back when I lived in Michigan). Anison’s a good buddy of mine who’s still active in the Detroit music scene. He is an incredible songwriter. If you don’t believe me, check out his Myspace.
The analogy of the fish in the ocean encountering a diver was inspired by the book The Fourth Dimension: A Guided Tour of the Higher Universes by Rudolf Rucker and David Povilaitis, which I found a fascinating, mind-expanding read.

That analogy of the fish that you used from “The Fourth Dimension” is awesome.
I’ve never heard that one before… I think I’ll file it away for future use whenever the topic of the paranormal comes up ^_^
Great looking comic so far- can’t wait to get to the meat of it (no pun intended :S)
